Currently we are partnering with many local mission organizations in Duluth. Hillside helps to meet seasonal needs with our mission partners through hands on work, collections of donations, and special offerings. In the last year we have supported Piedmont Elementary, CHUM, Union Gospel Mission, Damiano Center, Hope Center, and Heat Share through the Salvation Army.
Youth Mission to the Cities - We will be taking our twin-ports youth to the Cities July 28-31. On our trip we will be working with Hamline UMC and Hamline University to engage in hands-on service work and learning about the effects of past injustices in the Cities. This is a great opportunity to learn together and grow in our faith. For more details contact the church. If you would like to help sponsor a student you can make a contribution toward the $100 cost for each participant.
Loaves & Fishes - The first Tuesday of each month Hillside prepares a meal for the 24 residents of the Dorothy Day House that is supported by the Loaves & Fishes organization. The Dorothy Day House is one of two homes that, "incorporate community organization and empowerment".
