Vigil of Mourning and Solidarity to Be Held at Hope United Methodist Church
Duluth, MN — Hope United Methodist Church will host a Vigil of Mourning and Solidarity on Jan 10th at 7:00 PM in response to the death of Renee Nicole Good, who died following an encounter with an ICE officer.
This vigil will be a time for the community to gather in prayer, lament, and solidarity amid grief and shock. Participants will hold space for mourning the loss of life, supporting those most affected, and bearing witness to the pain experienced by immigrant communities and all who are grieving.
In moments like this, we come together not to have easy answers, but to care for one another, to pray, and to stand in solidarity with those who are hurting. This vigil is a sacred space for grief, remembrance, and hope.
All are welcome to attend. The vigil will include prayer, silence, and reflection, and is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.
